By this point you're already an Advanced Diver and have experience diving, but how would you respond in an emergency? The Rescue Diver course develops a diver's ability to prevent an accident from happening as well as their ability to manage dive emergencies. The Rescue Diver course teaches divers effective techniques to manage situations like:
Safe dive planning & accident prevention.
The causes of diver stress and how to prevent it.
Underwater Search & Recovery of a missing diver.
First Aid skills specific to diving.
Surfacing with, and providing Artificial Respiration to, injured divers.
Dealing with panicked divers above and below the surface.
The fundamental topics of the course are explained in the Rescue Diver manual and reinforced with 2 class reviews. Proper dive rescue techniques are then developed during 2 pool training sessions. Once you develop the foundational skills you move on to more challenging conditions in the open water. This added training, with its real-world rescue scenarios, allows you to master your ability to effectively and safely respond to, and manage a dive rescue situation.
The cost of the Rescue Diver course is $379.00 and includes:
All in-class, in-pool and open water training.
Rescue Diver manual.
Emergency management slate.
PADI certification card.
Lots of fun!
Most certified Rescue Divers consider this course the most useful (and fun) course that they've taken!
*To take this course you need a CPR and First Aid certification. If you don't, please ask us about the Emergency First Response, and the Emergency Oxygen Provider courses which meet these requirements.
