Every diver remembers their first breath underwater; it's an unforgettable experience that leads to a lifetime of adventure! Are you ready for yours? The PADI Open Water Diver course is the first full level of scuba certification; it will prepare you to plan and safely execute dives up to 60 feet (18m) deep (40 feet, 12m for Junior Divers).

TOP QUALITY TRAINING

Water Sports is an established PADI 5 Star Dive Centre, and we're committed to the highest standards in dive training and safety. Our experienced instructors provide a relaxed learning environment where you can gain confidence in the water and master the skills you need without feeling rushed. We keep our student to instructor ratios low, with a maximum of four students per instructor - that's half of PADI's limit.

Our course is based on performance, not a set timeframe. If you and your instructors feel you can use some more training after our pool sessions, we will happily let you join our next course free of charge.

CONTINUED SUPPORT

We will still be here for you after you finish your course. We want you to continue to dive comfortably, confidently, and safely. That's why we offer our students free lifetime refreshers.

There are Three Steps to Becoming an Open Water Diver:

Knowledge Development
Learn the basics of scuba equipment, diving physiology, and dive planning. We lay the foundation for the skills you will practice in the pool. The "whys" and "hows" of diving. Join an instructor in the classroom or learn in the privacy of your home with PADI's online course.

Confined Water (Pool) Skills
Practice the skills you will need before you hit the open water. Build confidence moving in the water and working with your scuba system. Learn how to communicate, be a good buddy, and what to do if a problem does occur. We do these skills in three pool sessions; if you are not feeling ready for your open water dives at the end, you are welcome to join the next class free of charge.

Open Water Certification Dives
This is the part everybody looks forward to! Join us in the summer to complete your certification, or, if you prefer the tropical waters of the south, we are happy to sign a referral letter for you.
